In general, we use the same privacy policy that Nature Publishing Group uses for all its nature.com websites.
However, Scintilla has some special features, and its particular privacy rules are described here.
Personal profiles
When you log in to Scintilla, a basic profile will be automatically generated based on your Nature.com registration details. Other users may be able to see your name, the groups you have joined, the members of your social network on Scintilla, the sources you have subscribed to and the ratings you have given to items.
Comments/Recommendations
Any comments you post here while recommending items will be published on the site and attributed to you. We reserve the right to remove comments that we feel are inappropriate.
Contact details
Your email address is not publicly displayed, but will be revealed to the recipients of messages that you send using the contact forms. In addition, if you reply to an email sent to you using the contact form, as with any email, the recipient will receive your email address.
